The Four Wearable Tech Devices of 2018 The World Truly Needs!

2018 has dawned and with it comes a flood of killer new tech that will surely blow our minds. And, though we will undoubtedly be shocked by how great and useful some of these new items turn out to be, it is the wearable tech sector that gets my geek on!

Though it is impossible to predict exactly which new technology devices will be wholeheartedly adopted by the masses, I can tell you right now which soon-to-be-released wearable tech devices I am most looking forward to. They are...

Women’s Safety X Prize

The Anu & Naveen Jain Women’s Safety X Prize is not a wearable tech device just yet. At this point, it is, according to philanthropist and entrepreneur Anu Jain,

A $1 million global competition that challenges teams to leverage technology to empower communities with a transformative solution that ensures women’s safety. Armed with innovative safety nets, communities everywhere can rapidly respond to threats against any of its members, ensuring that help is always available when needed.

The winning team’s solution will autonomously and inconspicuously trigger an emergency alert while transmitting information to a network of community responders, all within 90 seconds. The winning technology will cost no more than US $40, to help ensure it is affordable.

Safety is a fundamental human right and should not be considered a luxury for women.

As of January 4, 2018, 21 teams have advanced to the semi-finals. The winner will be announced in June of this year. In a post-Harvey Weinstein world, this wearable tech device is sorely needed!

Amazon Glasses

Word is that Amazon is entering the smartglasses niche with eye-glasses that have Alexa built right into their frames. Looking like the ordinary walking around glasses many of us are already wearing, this wearable tech will turn your skull into a speaker through the use of bone-conduction audio technology. Yep, you’ll be able to listen to Alexa, streaming radio, voice messages and so forth without using any speakers or earbuds whatsoever. Now, that is EXCITING.

Jawbone Health Hub

You know Jawbone, don’t you? Yeah, it made that cool little wearable tech bracelet that failed to conquer Fitbit. Well, Jawbone CEO Hosain Rahman has announced that Jawbone is no longer in the consumer market and is instead working on medical-grade health-focused wearable tech.

Though Rahman has yet to tell us exactly what the new Jawbone wearable tech device will do, sources have let it slip that it will help people deal with hypertension, diabetes, heart irregularities while concurrently linking folk to their pharmaceutical services. Considering that there are around 30 million people with diabetes in the United States, you can see how important the Jawbone wearable tech device ought to be.

Ingestible Wearable Tech

This wearable tech niche raises the question, “Are you wearing something you swallow?” I don’t think so; However, I am including this non-wearable tech here because it could potentially help the most people around the globe. Using nanotechnology, ingestible tech devices are itty-bitty things people will swallow to identify and battle cancer cells, help monitor the efficacy of prescribed medications, and take various internal measurements. This new tech will be real medical game changer.

Letter from Yan Gorshtenin, Founder of Netlodge.

To all startups and founders,

When I started Netlodge at the age of 14 I only had one goal in mind which was to change the way startups gain growth with one another and not having to pay a single penny to any marketing firms. It makes me a proud as a founder of Netlodge, as I announce that we have crossed another milestone in the history of our company. On the 1st of April our company shall complete 3 years of its establishment. As I am the founder, I am still at the age of 16. I take this occasion to thank each of the startups and founders for being an earnest part of our platform.

What began as a small online platform with just 20 members has risen up to stand tall amongst the business leads of the time with more than 750 startups on our platform and over 35,000 videos on startups, tech, marketing and sales. Our company has countless achievements and accomplishments, especially from last year which proved to be exceptionally productive for us.

Without the support of our partners, investors and startups it would never have been this big. Every one of you plays a very important role in the growth of Netlodge. It is for your enthusiasm, support and dedication that have brought us to this height. Netlodge shall ever remain indebted to the contributions of its growth incentives for startups and founders around the world.

We are also grateful to our clients and customers who trusted in us to help them provide immaculate services and products subside such as Netlodge Tech and Music. Their demands, challenges and feedbacks have pushed us to go ahead and improve vigorously. Our success story remains incomplete without the support of our clients and customers. Not only have they made us a part of their lives but also helped us reach out to the world. They spread the word faster and in a better way than any of our promotional means could.

I can’t thank you enough for your contributions to our platform. On this auspicious occasion I gladly announce that we will be rebranding Netlodge and will be releasing a new version shortly.

We plan to keep our business and relation growing with you and continue to provide you nothing less than the best for your startup's growth. With your support, we wish to explore new heights this year.

Yan Gorshtenin.
